Study in Over-dye
We had several different projects to work on. I learned some new discharge techniques as well as a study based on over dye. The week went by so fast. Although I’m very tired, I wish I had one more day to play. It seems that just as the creative inspirations start to surface, it’s time to wrapped it up and come home.
This trip will be an especially sweet memory as the Rich colors entered a special place within my heart. I learned more about myself, seeing my needs and my passions in a new light. Reaching a place that would’ve normally scared me to death, but actually going through the motions realizing that the special color was always there, I just needed to allow it to present itself.
Study in discharge
Only part of what I dyed and discharged
Hot and tired.
My little helper
I just Began a Mastery Study class with Jane Dunnewold in San Antonio, TX. Her Mastery Program is designed so that we will meet twice a year over the next 2.5 years. I am so excited!
As you can see we are making our own color wheels. We have also been given homework including more color theory challenges. I am so excited! Color Theory has always been my passion!
Color Theory is one of the classes that I teach!
I believe that if I studied color everyday of my life, that I would still never know all there is to know about color! But, I’ll have fun learning, playing and experimenting!

This past Fall I was inspired by the beautiful Fall foilage. I was also trying out some new fusible techniques, color theory and design principles.
